Your car finance questions

How does car finance work?

At Forza Finance we have an exclusive panel of lender partners through which we compare hundreds of finance deals to find you some of the lowest possible rates and monthly payments available.

Use our online finance calculator to pick the finance option that best suits you. The most common options are: Personal Contract Purchase (PCP), Lease Purchase (LP), or Hire Purchase (HP). Once you have decided what option suits you best, you can apply online. It’s a simple process that requires a bit of information about you, once you complete a finance application online, you are able to get a decision in no time.

Once your finance application has been approved, your finance specialist will work with your chosen dealership to keep them in the loop ready for you to collect your new car. It's as easy as that.

What are the different types of car finance?

Personal Contract Purchase (PCP): You put down an initial deposit and you agree to pay monthly payments over a set period of time. At the end of the agreement, you can hand back or part exchange your car with an optional final payment should you choose to keep the car.

Lease Purchase (LP): Similar to PCP, you pay an initial deposit and agreed monthly payments. At the end of the agreement, there is a balloon payment, you can either part exchange for a different car or settle the outstanding amount.

Hire Purchase (HP): You put down an initial deposit and then agree to monthly payments over a set period of time. At the end of the agreement, you will own the car or have the choice to part exchange into a different car too.

Can I use your car finance to buy a car for business purposes?

Yes. We provide a wide range of highly competitive finance packages that have been developed to meet your specific financing needs.

What is APR?

APR refers to Annual Percentage Rate, which accounts for interest charged on a loan or credit line and any additional fees you may have to pay.

What is residual value? And GFV?

Residual Value refers to the resale value of your vehicle at the end of the finance term.

GFV refers to Guaranteed Future Value. It is a guaranteed valuation of what the vehicle will be worth at the end of the finance term, if you choose to hand it back.

What is a mileage allowance?

Mileage allowance refers to the amount of miles you expect to cover within your agreement.

Is it hard to get accepted for car finance?

There are things that you can do to ensure you have the best chance of getting approved. Providing the most up-to-date and correct details, researching your own credit score, and knowing the criteria of your finance company to ensure that you are eligible are all important things to know.

Do you offer finance for motorhomes or vans?

Yes, we do. We have access to a number of specialist vehicle finance deals from our exclusive panel of partner lenders to source the best deal for you on motorcycles, motorhomes, and vans (commercial vehicles).

Who are we?

Forza Finance Limited is a credit broker and not a lender. We can help you access finance for prestige new and used vehicles, classic, commercial and leisure vehicles such as horse boxes, motorcycles and motorhomes. Our registered office is:

Forza Finance Limited

Westway

CM1 3BH

Our registered company number is 09949545.

Our ICO registration number is ZA230877.

We are independent from all lenders and product providers that we may introduce you to.

Our Regulated Status

Forza Finance Limited are Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), number 743977. This can be verified by viewing the financial services register at https://register.fca.org.uk/s/ or contacting the FCA on 0800 111 6768 or 0300 500 8082.

What do we offer?

We do not finance the purchase of your vehicle ourselves. We are a credit broker and not a lender. We are not an independent financial advisor. We do not source from the whole market but work with a diverse panel of carefully selected third-party lenders to whom we can introduce you and provide you access to a wide range of products.

Finance is subject to status and the providers terms and conditions. We cannot guarantee that you will be approved for finance.

We may seek information about your personal circumstances and objectives to enable us to identify your needs.  It is important that you provide us with accurate and relevant information enabling us to find appropriate products, from which you can more easily make your choice.

We will explain the finance products available to you from the lenders we work with and advise on the suitability of those finance products. It will then be your own choice how you wish to proceed.

What do we charge for our services?

No fee is payable by you to Forza Finance Limited for our service.

We will typically be paid a commission from the lender for deals that are written (typically a percentage of the amount advanced). The amount of commission paid to us may vary according to the interest rate charged by the lender, however, we cannot change the rate of interest in order to earn more commission from a lender.

If we obtain an offer for finance for you and you would like to know the amount that we would receive in commission if you accept the offer (and how that amount was calculated), please contact us at [email protected].

On request, or before entering into a contract, you will receive Pre-Contract Credit Information for products regulated by the FCA. This will tell you about any other fees relating to any particular product.

Affordability

You should assess the monthly payments that are required throughout the life of any finance agreement and ensure you are able to meet these obligations in addition to any other obligations you may have without suffering undue hardship.

Your credit rating may adversely be affected if you do not make payments when due which could make it harder or more expensive for you to access finance in the future.

How do we use your information?

Throughout the process of obtaining finance for your vehicle, we will need to collect personal information from you (and potentially family members e.g. partner) and pass this information to one or more third-party lenders who require the information in order to conduct an affordability and credit worthiness assessment to enable them to make a credit decision.

We will not disclose any of that information outside of the lenders to whom we have to send it for the purposes of obtaining finance.

Neither the lenders nor Forza Finance Limited, will use your information to provide you with promotional or marketing material unless you have specifically consented by opting-in to future marketing.

For full details of how we process your information and the use of credit reference agencies please see our [Privacy Policy]

What should you do if you have a complaint?

Our complaints handling process is fair and accessible and if we’ve made a mistake, we will aim to resolve the matter. We can provide a copy of our complaints policy on request. If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service. If you wish to make a complaint, please contact us as follows:

By e-mail – [email protected]

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?

We are covered by the FSCS.  You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations.  This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 90% of the claim, without any upper limit. The scheme does not cover consumer credit.
